Charly Lownoise alias Ramon Roelofs is DJ and producer and one of the founders of Happy Hardcore music genre: a very fast and energetic type of EDM created in the 90’s. Born and raised in The Hague he created his first sounds as a DJ when he was 14. Under his own label Simple Symphonys he produced serveral tracks in the early stages of his career.
After hooking up with Theo Nabuurs in 1992 the famous DJ duo Charly Lownoise and Mental Theo was formed. Under this label they produced two albums named Charlottenburg and On Air. Their biggest hits are Stars, Wonderful Days, Hardcore Feelings, Your Smile and Fantasy World.

Charly Lownoise, bürgerlich Ramon Roelofs, ist DJ und Produzent und einer der Mitbegründer des Musikgenres Happy Hardcore – einer sehr schnellen und energiegeladenen Spielart der elektronischen Tanzmusik (EDM), die in den 1990er-Jahren entstand. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Den Haag erzeugte er als DJ bereits mit 14 Jahren seine ersten Klänge. Unter seinem eigenen Label Simple Symphonys produzierte er in den frühen Phasen seiner Karriere mehrere Tracks.

Nachdem er 1992 mit Theo Nabuurs zusammenfand, entstand das berühmte DJ-Duo Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo. Unter diesem Namen produzierten sie zwei Alben mit den Titeln Charlottenburg und On Air. Zu ihren größten Hits zählen Stars, Wonderful Days, Hardcore Feelings, Your Smile und Fantasy World.
